Since 2009 North Star School of Irish Dance has been offering the opportunity to learn Irish dance for fun and performance through fostering the tradition of step, team, and céilí dances while encouraging a connection to the community. Our youngest classes start at age five and go through adulthood. We offer beginner, advanced, performance, intermediate, and more. Our class structure is relaxed and friendly. We pride ourselves on our family atmosphere. We participate in regional events such as the Irish Arts Minnesota's annual St. Patrick’s Day Celebration/Day of Irish Dance and the Minnesota Irish Fair. We also take our love of Irish dance to retirement communities and other events such as the Autism Society of Minnesota’s Steps of Hope. North Star School of Irish Dance has classes in two locations: Eden Prairie and Northfield. Classes in Eden Prairie are at the PiM Arts Studio. Classes in Northfield are at Division Street Dance. Our vision of connecting to community is fulfilled with regular performances at retirement homes, day cares, and local festivals as well as volunteering at least twice a year in a non-dance setting. Everyone within the North Star School of Irish Dance family are excited to continue our tradition of community outreach through the love of dance.
